Stored only in your browser’s localStorage — never sent anywhere except Google’s Gemini API.
Get a free key →
Tip: This key is shared with PulpitCraft and Interfaith Lens — if you’ve set it there, SuperScript will find it automatically.
If one hits its limit, switch to another — your key is shared but quotas are not.
Lower values (0.3–0.5) produce consistent, factual output — best for technical and academic writing. Higher values (0.9–1.2) produce more varied and creative language — best for fiction, poetry, and marketing copy. Very high values (>1.2) may reduce factual accuracy.
When enabled, the AI can perform live Google searches to supplement its response with current information. Grounding is the recommended solution for accessing web content — it does not require CORS and works on any topic.
⚠️ User consent: Enabling this sends your prompt to the Gemini API with Google Search access. Sources used are shown below each generated piece. Only compatible with Gemini 2.0 and 2.5 models.
For URL source fetching, SuperScript tries 5 CORS proxies automatically. If all fail, the best alternative is to copy-paste the page text into a Source Intelligence slot.
Prevents rate-limit errors during multi-section canvas generation on the free tier.
Help & Guide
SuperScript Phase 3 — full feature guide.
Speech Studio is a dedicated tab for spoken-word writing: toasts, roasts, tributes, wedding speeches, keynotes, eulogies, and more. It uses a different brief than Write Mode — focused on the person, occasion, relationship, and stories rather than a topic.
The output includes the speech text followed by a Delivery Notes section with timing, pause points, and emotional guidance — everything you need to deliver confidently.
Tip: The more specific details you add to “Key Details to Include”, the more personal and memorable the speech.
After generating any content, click 🔬 X-Ray in the output bar to get an instant analysis: word count, sentence count, reading level (Flesch-Kincaid), detected tone, structure breakdown, specific strengths, and improvement suggestions.
X-Ray uses a separate Gemini call, so it counts toward your daily quota. Click it again to close the panel.
💾 Save — Saves to My Documents tab in your browser. Up to 20 documents stored locally.
⇣ HTML — Downloads a clean, styled HTML file suitable for pasting into a blog or website.
📄 Word — Downloads a .doc file (HTML-based Word format). Open in Microsoft Word or Google Docs.
🖨 PDF — Opens in a new window and triggers your browser’s print dialog. Select “Save as PDF” as the destination.
Each source slot has a Text / URL toggle. In URL mode, paste a web address and click Fetch — SuperScript tries three methods to retrieve the page content (direct fetch, then two CORS proxies). Up to 10 source slots.
Note: Many websites block automated fetching entirely. If a URL fails, open the article in your browser, select all text (Ctrl+A), copy (Ctrl+C), and paste into the Text slot instead. This always works.
Paste any text in the Transform tab and click 🔬 Analyse Source for a full profile: writing type, tone, voice, vocabulary level, sentence style, rhetorical devices, emotional register, key themes, and transformation suggestions.
Clicking a Suggested Transform automatically selects the right target type in the grid. The 🔬 X-Ray button on the transformed output gives a second analysis of the result.
In Write and Speech Studio tabs, drag the thin vertical bar between the sidebar and the main output area to resize them. The sidebar can be made narrower (min 220 px) or wider (max 480 px) to suit your screen.
Browsers aggressively throttle background tabs — timers slow down, API calls stall, and chapter generation can pause or stop entirely. This is a browser-level restriction that affects all web apps, not just SuperScript.
Best practice: Right-click the SuperScript tab and choose Move tab to new window, then keep that window visible and in the foreground while chapters are being written. You can freely use other apps alongside it.
Checkpoint & Resume: Every completed chapter is saved to your browser automatically. If generation is interrupted for any reason — background throttling, network drop, API quota — simply reopen SuperScript and the amber resume banner will appear. Click Resume pipeline to continue from exactly where it stopped.
Chapter navigation: While chapters are being written, a sticky navigation strip appears at the top of the chapter list. Click any chapter pill to jump directly to it — useful for large books with 8–12 chapters where scrolling becomes unwieldy.
Failed chapters: If an API error occurs mid-pipeline, the affected chapter is marked red and skipped — generation continues with the remaining chapters. Use the inline Retry button on any failed chapter to regenerate it before clicking Assemble.
Your API key is valid. Each model has its own separate daily quota — only the selected model has hit its limit.
AI evaluates your content against the stated brief — purpose, audience, tone, and depth — and returns a score with specific, actionable improvement suggestions.
Each sentence is rated Strong, Fair, or Weak. Hover or tap any sentence to see the coaching note. Non-destructive — your original is unchanged.
Reviewing chapter integrity before writing the foreword, index, and cross-references.
